I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go

I’ll Go Where You Want Me To Go

It may not be on the mountain height Or over the stormy sea,
It may not be at the battle's front My Lord will have need of me.
Message: It's now where you serve....just that you do. Oh, by the way...it MAY be on a mountain height and it MAY be over the stormy sea, or the battle's front...the question is...will you go?
But if, by a still, small voice will you follow quiet promptings too? he calls To paths that I do not know, don't limit yourself to your comfort zone. See Pres. Monson's talk about the sister inspired to deliver bread to another sister!
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine::Don't try to go it alone... I'll go where you want me to go. Not where I want to go...

(Chorus)

I'll go
where you want me to go, dear Lord, "...for I know the Lord giveth no commandment, save He shall prepare a way..."
Over mountain or plain or sea; or right here where I am...
I'll say what you want me to say, dear Lord; safest way to talk...
I'll be what you want me to be. He wants you to "be" a covenant keeper!

Perhaps today there are loving words Which Jesus would have me speak; We can always "say" kind things; notice others; compliment; encourage...Hey...that's keeping your covenants!
There may be now in the paths of sin Some wand'rer whom I should seek.I love that view...all sinners are just "wanderers" off the path...
O Savior, if thou wilt be my guide, Tho dark and rugged the way, Just because the Lord has called you doesn't mean the way will be easy. But if He is your guide, you can go through anything!
My voice shall echo the message sweet: I'll say what you want me to say. Any words we speak that come from the Savior will be "sweet", even if not accepted.

There's surely somewhere a lowly place In earth's harvest fields so wide "The field is white, all ready to harvest"..."If ye have desire ye are called to the work"...Don't wait for an official call or even a prompting; be "anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness" (which is just helping other come to Jesus through repentance and baptism)
Where I may labor through life's short day With the "hastening" of the work...the "day" is even shorter!
For Jesus, the Crucified. He gave His all for us;
So trusting my all to thy tender care,
we give our all for Him; then He gives us His all again.
And knowing thou lovest me, This is foundational to our faith
I'll do thy will with a heart sincere: no faking it
I'll be what you want me to be. We hear, then do, then become. Becoming is the effect of hearing and doing, but without the "heart sincere" it may have no real effect on us becoming better (think Lamen and Lemuel...lots of "hearing"; even some "doing" but no "becoming"...no "heart sincere" in their obedience)

1 Nephi 3:7I'll go, for I know a way has been prepared
Doctrine and Covenants 4:2 If your are going to serve God,
see that you do it with all your heart, might, mind and strength
